As it turns out, It was a trap set up by Sasori, who was controlling Muta with his chakra threads.
Zaji then finds injured Muta and rushes to help him and gets blindsided. When Kankuro and Onoi lands with the rest of the part, their sensory ninja, Zaji, mentions that he is feeling some kind of hindrance causing disruption in his sensory abilities. In the meantime, Surprise Attack Division infiltrates enemy airspace. Muta finds himself separated from his teammates and uses one of his insects to carry the intel they had gathered on Akatsuki to the headquarters of the Allied Shinobi Force. Muta Aburame proves to be a hindrance in the Surprise Attack and Diversion Platoon’s way as he successfully hampers them with his Insect Jamming Technique. Meanwhile, Akatsuki's Surprise Attack and Diversion Platoon pursues the remaining members of the Infiltration and Reconnaissance Party.
Omoi starts thinking what if they are attacked by their pursuers resulting in one of his classic overthinking sprees and getting lost in thoughts. The episode begins with Kankuro and Omoi in the frame, as members of the Infiltration and Reconnaissance Party.
